Algae-city (2018)
In collaboration with Yohan Bonnet, Romaric Bonnot,Etienne Bordes & Léo Crespin

Population growth and rising sea levels have brought us to the problem of how to occupy our land. As cities continue to grow, will we be forced to expand on the water?
The many fields of application and the problems associated with these led us to work on seaweed as a primary ressource of our future.
Prospective reflection on an algae centered city, where the climate crisis leads us to inevitable radical change.
We then started researching different scenarios, by experimenting agar-agar, drawing new product scenarios based on bio-materials characteristics

Agar-agar+glycerin+cornstarch+alginate :
a flexible, yet a little bit rigid material that could be used as utensils, or vessels for single uses objects.
